Can You Drink Treated Waste Water? What NASA Knows and Frank Mendez Says about Distilled Water
There is a lot of information about distilled water and I thank you for looking into us. I’d like to say a water distiller really purifies quite simply just about anything you put into it. So you could take sewage water and distill it and you’ll have the healthiest drinking water you could possibly have.
By the way, I want to read something from someone else who basically says the same thing. This is from Commander Chris Hadfield, Commander International Space Station and Canadian Space Agency and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) (from the video “Water Recycling on the International Space Station”
To set that up a bit, they don’t take additional water in the space station. They recycle the water or moisture they have in the space station through the distillation process including body fluids as well.
This is what he says about the International Space Station, Commander Chris Hadfield,
“Since 2010 we’ve got a system on board that can purify the water in real time. You don’t have to take it out and store it in bags. We have filters and keg-sized distiller that spins to create artificial gravity and move the waste water along.”
He continues, “…keep in mind that the water we end up with is purer than most of the water that you drink on a daily basis at home.” Hadfield says in the video, “That makes the International Space Station its own self-contained environment. That’s a critical step towards living for long periods of time off of planet earth.
So distilled water that has been purified from the space station and recycled is what they drink. It’s better than your tap water and its purer than just about any other water that you’ll be drinking.
Drink distilled water and have confidence in it. If you have any questions or push back on that please give us a call we would love to hear from you
